The Ovation Community
The future Ovation Community will be a self sustaining residential community which will provide anything that a resident could need. The beautiful landscape that forms the site, gives the main inspiration for the architectural elements on the site. It will follow the curves of the Ohio and Licking rivers.

Massing Model Sketches
After looking over my original massing models, I was unsatisfied with the final products that I  provided. I decided to do another massing study, but this time I would use the site itself as my inspiration.

 

When I looked at the site, I saw the orthogonal lines of the surrounding streets intersecting with the curved organic lines that are formed at the north side of our site by the river side.

 

The above image represents how I came about my design. I decided to use the curves of the site to create the condos, and to intersect those lines with the orthogonal lines of the streets, and form an intersection of buildings. The image below depicts a massing model of what I have in mind for my space.

 

 

Floor Plans and Elevations

 

Here is an example of a possible floor plan layout for a floor in one of the three condo towers. The elevators are located in the middle of the space with a stairwell on each end for egress purposes.

 

The picture below shows an elevation/section view showing the location of the elevator shaft as well as the location of a stair shaft.

 Overall Site Layout

The image above is an example of the overall site layout for my project. As you can see the everything is centered around the condos.
